The Naknek River offers great King Salmon fishing with limits of 3 kings per person per day. The river gets returns up to 30,000 kings per year with less angling effort compared to other King sport fisheries around the state - which makes your Naknek River sport fishing trip very rewarding. The average size is 25 - 45 lb. with some hitting the 60+ range. Fishing the lower river back trolling using plugs such as Magnum Wiggle Warts or casting big spoons is very effective. In mid season the kings are concentrated near their spawning areas; so drifting with Spin-n-Glo set-ups or casting cross-current will bring you luck.
